As a Labor Economist Research Manager, you will lead and manage research initiatives, overseeing projects and guiding research teams. Your role involves utilizing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, shaping research strategies, ensuring quality outputs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives. You will also communicate key insights and recommendations to clients, consulting them on data-driven decision-making.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Business, or related discipline
  • Substantial experience in research and analysis
  • Track record of managing research projects and teams
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel
  • Experience leading a research team

As a Labor Economist Research Manager, you will lead and manage research initiatives within our organization. Your role will involve overseeing research projects, guiding research teams, and utilizing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions. You will play a key role in shaping research strategies, ensuring the quality of research outputs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the organization's objectives.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of researchers and analysts by fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment and providing ongoing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Lead and oversee multiple research projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with organizational goals, stakeholder needs, and industry best practices.
  • Define research objectives, methodologies, and timelines while allocating resources, monitoring progress, and addressing challenges to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders—including clients, partners, and subject matter experts—to align research priorities and outcomes with business needs.
  • Communicate key insights and recommendations to clients and consult clients on how to use data to make data-driven decisions.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Economics, Social Sciences, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Substantial experience in research and analysis, with a track record of managing research projects and teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel.
  • Experience leading a research team.
