Job Description

The Lighting Artist will design and implement lighting for game scenes, levels, and cutscenes in AAA game projects, ensuring the artistic vision is met and enhances the game's atmosphere. They will balance performance and quality in lighting solutions, collaborate effectively with art, engineering, and design teams, and leverage cutting-edge technologies. Responsibilities include optimizing lighting tools and workflows, possessing strong understanding of lighting principles (light/shadow, color balance, post-processing), and contributing to next-gen console development with PBR knowledge. Experience with Unreal Engine or Unity is essential.

Job Responsibilities

- Design and implement lighting for scenes, levels, and cutscenes within the game. - Achieve the artistic vision for lighting to enhance the game’s atmosphere and mood.

- Develop optimal lighting solutions while balancing performance and quality.

- Collaborate closely with other artists, engineers, and designers, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and techniques.

- Suggest improvements and optimize tools and workflows related to lighting.

1、AAA規模のゲームプロジェクトでのライティングアーティストとしての経験

2、ゲームエンジン(Unreal Engine、Unityなど)でのライティング設定・経験調整

3、イベントグラフィックスにおける光と影の原理、カラーバランス、ポストプロセス効果の知識

4、アート、テクニカルチームとのコミュニケーション能力、協調性

5、高いクリエイティブセンスと視覚的な洞察力

Qualifications

- Experience as a Lighting Artist on AAA game projects.

- Proficient in setting up and adjusting lighting within game engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity.

- Strong understanding of the principles of lighting, including light and shadow, color balance, and post-processing effects in graphics.

- Effective communication and teamwork skills with both art and technical teams.

- High level of creativity and visual insight.
