BSL Media & Learning (part of the global concern Springer Nature). BSL Media & Learning is a dynamic and successful media and learning company that focuses on (future) healthcare professionals with digital learning solutions, community platforms, books, magazines, and conferences.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

BSL is in the midst of a digital transformation. To successfully guide this change, there is a need for professionalization in project management. We want to be able to switch faster, achieve greater impact, and work with results-oriented structures. That is why we are establishing a Project Management Office (PMO).

As PMO Lead, you are responsible for setting up, managing, and further developing the PMO. In addition, you will lead strategic project(s) within the organization. You ensure the quality and consistency of project management and act as a point of contact for management, project managers, and other stakeholders. You report to the Director of Finance & Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Defining consistent project management governance.
• Setting up, managing, and improving PMO processes, standards, and reports.
• Planning, coordinating, and monitoring project portfolios and programs.
• Supporting and coaching project managers in applying Project management methodologies.
• Reporting on progress, risks, and bottlenecks to management and stakeholders.
• Maintaining insight into resource availability and workload within teams.
• Balancing capacity and project priorities to prevent overload.
• Facilitating steering group and portfolio meetings.
• Providing dashboards and progress reports to support decision-making.
• Monitoring project KPIs and results to achieve continuous improvement.

WHAT DO YOU BRING?

Competencies:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Analytical and results-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and maintain overview.
• Communicatively skilled and able to switch smoothly at different levels.
• Proactive and curious: sees opportunities for improvement and translates them into concrete actions.
• Flexible and resilient in an environment that is constantly changing.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.

Background:

• HBO or WO work and thinking level, preferably in business administration, IT or project management.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a project management or PMO role.
• Certifications such as PRINCE2, IPMA or PMI are a plus.
