Onward Search is seeking a Principal Data Science Analyst for a leading global healthcare and research organization. This 12-month remote contract role involves developing AI-powered solutions to enhance decision-making, predictive modeling, and patient care insights. The analyst will perform advanced analysis of complex datasets, design and deploy machine learning models, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights. Must Have
- Perform advanced analysis of large, complex, and heterogeneous datasets.
- Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning models.
- Collaborate with technical, clinical, and research stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
- Develop software tools and scripts for data extraction, management, and model integration.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences.
- Lead or mentor junior data science staff and guide project execution.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional or research experience in data science.
- Deep expertise in AI, machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
- Strong experience with scientific computing and data management packages.
- Proficient in Python, R, or similar tools for advanced modeling.
- Proven success building predictive and prescriptive models with large-scale datasets.
- Strong leadership, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Good to Have
- PhD in a relevant analytical or quantitative discipline.
- 3+ years of experience with statistical/machine learning packages in a professional or research setting.
- Prior experience working with healthcare data and Epic EMR systems.
- Knowledge of data transformation and longitudinal patient record integration.
