Job Summary

This role involves managing the entire procurement process for electronic active and passive components, from initial cost analysis and target setting to monitoring execution and ensuring supply chain stability. Key responsibilities include aligning with demand, committing to costs, developing and monitoring procurement plans, overseeing material selection, auditing BOM construction, and leading supply risk management. The specialist will also drive competitive sourcing and multi-point supply backup before the PVT stage and assess mass production transitions. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree (or associate with 5+ years experience), 3+ years of sourcing experience, proficiency in electronic components, strong negotiation, communication, and cost analysis skills.

Must Have

  • Responsible for cost breakdown and analysis of TR1 and early project stages, and setting initial cost targets (materials and fixed assets).
  • Align with front-end demand, commit to costs, and set continuous procurement goals.
  • Develop and monitor procurement implementation plans based on project needs.
  • Monitor the execution process of procurement activities.
  • Monitor material selection to ensure implementation according to procurement strategy.
  • Audit BOM construction and adjust according to preferred procurement strategies.
  • Lead the promotion of effective competition or multi-point supply backup before the project PVT stage.
  • Lead the assessment of mass production transition on behalf of the procurement department.
  • Lead the confirmation of BOM material procurability and monitor supply risks.
  • Lead the identification of long-lead-time materials' impact on project progress and develop stocking strategies before PVT.
  • Lead the addition and reduction of normalized selection library content.
  • Participate in setting quality goals and plans.
  • Participate in the establishment and daily maintenance of cost models.
  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree with 5+ years of purchasing experience.
  • 3+ years of sourcing experience, proficient in electronic active and passive components.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong cost awareness, capable of cost analysis and accounting.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the cost breakdown and analysis of TR1 and the initial stage of projects, and setting preliminary cost targets (including materials and fixed assets).

2. Responsible for aligning with front-end demand, making cost commitments, and formulating continuous procurement goals.

3. Responsible for developing procurement implementation schedules based on project requirements and monitoring the execution of the plan.

4. Responsible for monitoring the execution process of procurement activities.

5. Responsible for monitoring material selection to ensure implementation according to procurement strategies.

6. Responsible for auditing BOM construction and adjusting according to preferred procurement strategies.

7. Lead and promote effective competition or multi-point supply backup before the project PVT stage, in accordance with procurement strategies.

8. Lead the assessment of mass production transition on behalf of the procurement department.

9. Lead the confirmation of BOM material procurability and lead the monitoring of supply risks.

10. Lead the identification of the impact of long-lead-time materials on project progress and formulate stocking strategies before PVT.

11. Lead the addition and reduction of content in the normalized selection library.

12. Participate in the formulation of quality goals and plans.

13. Participate in the establishment and daily update and maintenance of cost models.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or above in a related field (or associate degree with more than 5 years of purchasing work experience).

2. More than three years of sourcing work experience, proficient and familiar with electronic active and passive components, familiarity with power electronics or industrial electronics is preferred.

3. Energetic, able to withstand work pressure, and possess excellent teamwork spirit.

4. Possess strong negotiation skills and communication techniques.

5. Have strong cost awareness and be able to perform cost analysis and accounting.

6. Possess good professional ethics.
