Job Description

As a Senior Business Analyst at LSEG, you will act as a crucial liaison between business partners and development teams. Your primary responsibilities include eliciting, analyzing, communicating, and validating requirements for changes to business products, processes, and systems. You will formulate business requirements at Feature, Epic, and User Story levels, ensuring they meet the Definition of Ready and are properly prioritized to maintain a healthy backlog. This role involves building strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring solution designs align with business needs, including Non-Functional requirements.

Must Have:
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business needs to formulate business requirements at Feature, Epic, and User Story levels.
  • Ensure requirements meet Definition of Ready, maintain traceability, and are correctly prioritised.
  • Build strong relationships with all partners, including senior partners.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure solution designs meet business requirements, including Non-Functional requirements.
  • Support senior management/Lead BA during agile ceremonies and follow established Agile Framework best practices.
  • Ensure project RAID log is updated with BA related risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Model complex business processes and suggest process improvements.
  • Extensive experience in the Business Analysis role.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira / Confluence / Excel.

Role Summary:

Acts as a liaison among business partners and development teams in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business products, processes and systems.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for the elicitation, analysis and documentation of business needs in order to formulate business requirements at the Feature, Epic and User Story levels for each workstream they are responsible for.
  • Ensure requirements meet Definition of Ready, maintain traceability and are correctly prioritised so that a healthy backlog is maintained.
  • Builds a strong relationship with all partners, including senior partners and ensures that business analysis activities and products are clearly communicated with them.
  • Works closely with all team members to ensure solution designs meet business requirements, including Non-Functional requirements.
  • Support senior management/Lead Ba during agile ceremonies and consistently follows the established Agile Framework standard methodologies.
  • Ensures project RAID log is updated with BA related risks, issues and dependencies for their workstream(s).
  • Models complex business processes and suggests process improvements as required by their workstream(s).
  • Contributes in delivering trainings, coaching for new joiners in terms of project objectives, requirements, way of working.

What You’ll Bring:

Extensive experience of the Business Analysis role.

Excellent knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle

Strong knowledge of Jira / Confluence / Excel

SQL knowledge beneficial.

Scope of Impact:

Supports business analysis activities for workstreams within one or more projects.

Makes suggestions to how products should be developed at a technical level.
