You will also provide leadership to other Project Managers.
Must Have:

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our New Build team in the Construction Department, overseeing New Store Openings . You’ll lead a team of Project Managers and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects that reflect our commitment to innovation, quality, and community.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead full project lifecycles for New Build initiatives
  • Evaluate development sites for construction potential
  • Oversee designs, budgets, timelines, and regulatory approvals
  • Direct external consultants, contractors, and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, planning legislation, and McDonald’s standards
  • Provide clear leadership and guidance to other Project Managers and support staff
  • Manage financial accounts and ensure delivery within budget
  • Build strong relationships with Franchisees, Operations teams, and local authorities

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management within construction
  • Membership of a relevant professional institute (RICS, CIOB, APM)
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and financial management abilities
  • Organised, analytical, and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK & Ireland (valid UK driving license required)
  • Curious, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement
