Job Description
The Senior Tools Programmer will be joining a team working on a tactical RPG to create an unforgettable experience. The role involves creating and owning new tools and features to improve in-house team efficiency and usability, which can also be used by the community/modders. The programmer will also refactor existing tools, work with stakeholders from all disciplines to improve the tools, assist with technical design and planning, enforce project code standards, fix bugs and help with optimization efforts, and mentor other developers.
Must have:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience writing tools for improved iteration time
- Experience with PC and/or console games
- Excellent C++ skills
- Experience working with Unreal Engine
- Have shipped several games
- Relevant bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- Very good organizational skills
- Good communicator
Good to have:
- Experience working with multiplayer games

Our client is growing their team to work on their first title and are looking for an experienced Senior Tools Programmer to join them. Their next game is a tactical RPG and they are aiming to create an unforgettable experience for the players.
Requirements:

- Experience writing tools that are up to standards in usability and functionality that improve internal developers and modders iteration time.
- Experience working with PC and/or console games
- Excellent C++ skills
- Preferably experience working with multiplayer games
- Experience working with Unreal Engine
- Have shipped several games
- Relevant bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- Very good organizational skills
- Good communicator
Responsibilities:
- Create and own new tools and features to improve in-house team efficiency and usability, which can also be shipped and used by our community/modders
- Refactor existing tools
- Work with stakeholders of all disciplines to improve our tools in close collaboration with Tool Designers
- Assist with technical design and planning tasks
- Assist with enforcing project code standards
- Fix bugs and help with optimization efforts
- Mentor other developers
