Job Summary

Intel is seeking a passionate AI/ML Intern for the Silicon Engineering Group to work on cutting-edge research and development at the intersection of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML). The role involves researching and prototyping AI-driven solutions for EDA challenges, applying advanced AI techniques to develop autonomous solutions for silicon design, and collaborating with global teams to integrate AI/ML models into production workflows to improve Power, Performance, and Thermal for next-generation Intel products.

Must Have

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree OR PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any related field
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML fundamentals and algorithms
  • Strong programming skills in Python (preferred), with familiarity in Unix/Linux
  • Good understanding of software engineering principles (data structures, object-oriented design)
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of ASIC design flows, Physical Design, and Design Automation
  • Practical experience applying Machine Learning in EDA or related domains
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts and ability to design autonomous flows
  • Strong foundation in VLSI Design
  • Good code development practices and ability to write clean, maintainable code

In this role, you will work on cutting-edge research and development at the intersection of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML). Your contributions will enable smarter design flows, accelerate automation, and improve Power, Performance, and Thermal for next-generation products. What You'll Do

  • Research and prototype AI-driven solutions for EDA challenges.
  • Apply advanced AI techniques, including creating agentic AI flows, to develop autonomous and intelligent solutions for complex silicon design challenges.
  • Collaborate with global teams to integrate AI/ML models into production workflows.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree OR PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any related field.
