Job Summary
Autodesk is seeking an Associate SQA Manager for its Fusion organization in Kraków, Poland. This role involves leading a quality engineering team, guiding them in building scalable test automation and quality systems for cloud and client workflows. The manager will nurture team talent, advocate for best practices, and foster collaboration across agile teams, balancing operational execution with people leadership to drive continuous improvement in quality processes.
Must Have
- Manage and develop a Quality Assurance Team (including remote workers, in different time zones).
- Lead and grow a high-performing QA team: recruit, onboard, coach, and develop engineers; build a culture of ownership, empathy, and continuous learning.
- Responsible for project management post-alpha phase; drive execution excellence through release milestones. Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Define and enforce release criteria; control lockdown until the release stage.
- Provide direct supervision and guidance to team members; act as an advisor and actively engage to resolve issues and meet schedules.
- Manage activities of a section or department, including planning, staffing, budgeting, and cost control.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and recommend changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Translate organizational goals into actionable plans; oversee successful completion of projects to meet business objectives.
- Regularly interact with senior management and cross-functional teams; influence decisions and gain alignment on priorities.
- Communicate effectively to manage expectations and resolve sensitive issues without damaging relationships.
- Represent QA in planning/design reviews; influence acceptance criteria and risk decisions.
- Collaborate with teams and promote collaboration by breaking silos and prioritizing business success over individual team success.
- Manage the team's performance to ensure successful project completion. Inspire and motivate team members to achieve maximum productivity and optimal creativity. Support each team member in their pursuit of career development paths and opportunities.
- BS/MS in engineering, computer science, or equivalent industry experience.
- 6+ years of working experience in the software industry with 3+ years in leading teams or other similar leadership roles.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, principles, practices, and methodologies.
- Proven experience working on a scrum team, understanding development & testing; understanding Agile and Scaled Agile.
- Have insights about common engineering practice challenges and experience of leading team to fix/improve them, e.g., testing automation, CICD, etc.
- Strong communication skills.
- Capable of prioritizing and managing time and priorities simultaneously.
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues across different time zones.

- Experience with Fusion or similar CAD/CAM platforms.
- Experience with software testing methodologies, software installation frameworks, and software project management.

We’re seeking a highly motivated Associate SQA Manager to join the Fusion organization in Kraków, Poland, and help lead a growing quality engineering team.
You’ll bring a unique mix of strong leadership acumen and solid technical depth to the table: guiding engineers to build and run scalable test automation and quality systems for cloud and client workflows; nurturing team talent and growing future quality leaders; advocating for best practices that elevate our quality standards; and fostering open communication to keep our agile teams aligned. In this fast-moving environment, you’ll strike the perfect balance between day-to-day operational execution and people leadership, fueling collaboration across functions and driving relentless continuous improvement in our quality processes.
This position is Hybrid and you will be reporting to a Senior Manager SQA.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a Quality Assurance Team (including remote workers, in different time zones). Select, develop, and build global and local teams by recruiting resources, defining staff development areas and programs, and providing ongoing feedback, training, and development to increase their professional and technical competencies. Translate high-level organizational goals to staff work tasks. Optimize team efficiency by aligning projects with appropriate team resources. Develop staff capabilities through team-based mentoring by senior technical staff members.

Qualifications
