What You'll Do
- Conduct detailed and objective investigations into workplace issues, including whistleblower cases, disciplinary actions, complaints, and grievances.
- Mentor and partner with managers and leaders to handle employee relations issues, improving leadership capability and ensuring compliance.
- Influence team members and align employee relations practices with business objectives.
- Respond to requests, assist employees and managers, document findings, and drive appropriate actions to resolve complex employee-related matters in a timely manner.
- Partner with P&C collaborators and delivery partners, helping managers assess and perform employee relations tasks and resolve corrective actions.
- Ensure corrective actions are fair, consistent, and align with all relevant laws, regulations, and company employee standards.
- Analyze data to identify trends, produce metrics, and build reports with recommended actions regarding employee relations initiatives.
- Maintain comprehensive and detailed records within a case tool (ServiceNow) while ensuring a high level of confidentiality.
- Represent Aristocrat in front of regulatory and governmental agencies regarding unemployment filings, trade union hearings, appeals, and other personnel-related concerns.
- Conduct exit interviews and surveys, analyzing feedback to uncover patterns and areas for improvement.
- Identify, build, maintain, and acquire approval for all necessary employee/labor relations policies, practices, handbooks, and procedures across Aristocrat.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in employee and labor relations or serving as an Employee Relations Specialist or P&C business partner involved in employee relations functions.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of labor laws, investigations, conflict resolution, and employee relations guidelines.
- Demonstrated skill in serving as a bridge between business units and People & Culture to guarantee uniform application of policies and practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively navigate sensitive matters and deliver clear messages.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, providing effective service, support, consultation, and resolution of complex ER inquiries through the informed application of company policies, programs, procedures, and federal/state laws.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct formal investigations involving all levels of interaction, detailing findings for legal and audit purposes, and offering appropriate recommendations to senior business leaders.
- Proven ability to research information, analyze data, and apply good judgment to draw valid conclusions, prepare recommendations, and build plans of action.
- Excellent consultative, listening, and verbal/written communication skills; ability to influence, negotiate, and convey recommendations and opinions persuasively.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven capacity to prioritize and manage time effectively and efficiently.
