We are seeking a Senior Software Developer for our Data Platform team to design, develop, and maintain our big data framework. This role involves collaborating with internal teams to implement scalable and efficient data processing solutions, ensuring the availability and reliability of data pipelines. Must Have

• Design and develop scalable data processing solutions using big data technologies.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features and optimize performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot distributed systems to maintain high availability.
• Participate in code reviews and drive continuous improvement in development practices.
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Scala.
• Experience building pipelines for large-scale structured and unstructured data.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in collaborative environments.

Good to Have

• Experience with AWS cloud and big data tools like EMR or Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of distributed computing and database technologies (relational and non-relational).
• Familiarity with AI, data science, or intelligent systems.

This position will be located in St. John's and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
