Job Description

The Assembler II is responsible for fabricating components or assembling finished products according to customer specifications, ensuring the correct parts and supplies are available. Key responsibilities include setting up the work area, assembling parts, operating machinery, and ensuring quality standards are met. The role also involves maintaining a safe and organized work environment, performing equipment inspections, and maintaining production records. The Assembler II will also participate in safety and other programs, and perform other duties as assigned. The job requires assembling components or specialty products with a minimum of six months of experience preferred with basic math skills. They should be at least 18 years of age.
Must have:
  • Assemble components or specialty products.
  • Ensure correct component parts and supplies are available.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Good to have:
  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • 1 year or more of experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Job Details

Job Summary Assembler II is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation including plates, nails, staples, fasteners, etc. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with the prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates presses and machinery in addition to hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Provides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when required
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products is required; 1 year of experience or more is preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
