Nasdaq Marketplace Technology is looking for a Lead Product Owner with experience in financial technology, to join the Bangalore technology center in India. If Innovation and effectiveness drive you forward this is the place for you!

In this role, you will be responsible for owning the scope of the solution being delivered to a customer by keeping track of the size (complexity) of the identified scope, ensuring that the backlog is prioritised as well as managing changes.

We are now looking for a Lead Product Owner to strengthen the Professional services team in Bangalore. As a Lead Product Owner, you will be a coordinator of the prioritized backlog, communicating with business analysts, project managers, the development team(s) and the product managers to ensure that priorities are understood and scope increases (or decreases) are managed appropriately.

With this position we offer :

Join the client experience organization for Nasdaq FinTech. The main objective of the professional services solution scope management team is to drive client success. You will join an international team of dedication lead scope managers, and work with solution leads delivering technology to global financial institutions.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

You will lead manage the scope for customer solutions and work with technical teams from across the globe. You will be responsible for gap analysis between the Nasdaq offered product and the customer needs/wants. 

 In this role, you will be a key person in customer projects leading the team backlog by producing detailed prioritized sprint plans for an agile development team. You will own the scope for changes and scope creep to ensure the project/product stays on track of what was agreed. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

Furthermore, you will: 

  • Collaborate with other Product Owners/Delivery leads to prioritize business needs into the right set of objectives and key results.
  • Collaborate with customers, developers, designers, project managers, key stakeholders and other teams to facilitate the team while gathering requirements and understanding customer needs.
  • Understand the scope and the technical solutions to help make decisions and provide additional project/product assistance when needed.

We expect you to have

  • Overall 12+ years of experience. with 3–5 years experience as a product owner /business analyst.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • The ability to work closely with agile, cross functional development teams
  • Strong estimation and planning capabilities
  • Experience in working with Confluence and Jira
  • The ability to travel globally

Education Qualification: Bachelor/Master in computer science or engineering

It would be great if you

  • 3 – 4 years experience as a project management
  • Experience working with back-end systems in trading, clearing or settlement business domain.
  • Some software development experience.
  • Some test analysis experience
