Job Description

This full-time, 12-week Manufacturing Quality Intern position in Smyrna, TN, involves assisting in the planning and execution of quality manufacturing projects. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze processes, identify improvements, and develop solutions. Responsibilities include conducting research, providing recommendations, preparing reports, and supporting daily quality tasks to drive innovation and optimize manufacturing operations at Nissan.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of quality manufacturing project(s).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, analyze processes, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of solutions to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations based on findings to support project goals.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate manufacturing project progress and results to stakeholders.
  • Support the team in daily quality tasks and contribute to ongoing initiatives.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, or chemical preferred).
  • GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and ability to multi-task with day-to-day priorities.
  • Great communication skills both written and oral.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel.
  • Ability to perform work onsite at Smyrna, TN.

We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Quality Intern to join our team in Smyrna, TN and will be a full-time role.

A Day in the Life:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of quality manufacturing project(s). These projects are based on need by shop within the plant and change on a year-to-year basis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, analyze processes, and identify areas for improvement
  • Participate in the development and implementation of solutions to optimize manufacturing operations
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations based on findings to support project goals
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate manufacturing project progress and results to stakeholders
  • Support the team in daily quality tasks and contribute to ongoing initiatives

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering- mechanical, electrical, or chemical preferred
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
