The Player Experience Associate I contributes significantly to Uken Games' success by enhancing player experience through community management, engagement strategies, and social media. Responsibilities include executing social media strategies, communicating with users across various channels, analyzing user feedback, reporting on trends, liaising with external support, managing documentation, developing community initiatives, managing VIP relationships, acting as an escalation point for support, and identifying trending issues. The ideal candidate possesses strong writing skills, adapts quickly to new tools, and can effectively represent player needs internally. They will create reports, manage KPIs, and contribute to process improvements, aiming to increase user retention and engagement. The role also involves managing customer-facing documentation and collaborating with various stakeholders.

The Player Experience Associate I plays an important role in the success of Uken Games by positively affecting the player experience through their focus on community management programs, executing community engagement strategies, and leveraging social media to foster a thriving player community. The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, can quickly learn new tools and systems to assist with player support, and can act as the voice of our players internally by analyzing and reporting on feedback and trends from player communities and social media channels.


As a Ukenite, you’ll be working on meaningful things like:

  • Executing community and social media strategies to help drive player engagement and support top-level metrics
  • Compassionately communicating with users through social media, support channels, app stores, and other channels
  • Evangelizing on behalf of players by gathering and analyzing user feedback from social media, community channels, and support tickets to deliver concise, actionable feedback to the game team
  • Reporting on trending issues to the game team; representing community needs to product managers, game designers, and QA
  • Owning the performance reporting process, tracking against established KPIs to demonstrate the success and ROI on player experience and community programs
  • Delivering reports to key stakeholders within the organization weekly or based on the needs of the product team
  • Liaising with our external support team responsible for managing the bulk of user email responses, maintaining daily contact, and keeping a pulse on any trends noticed regarding new issues
  • Maintaining and updating resources and reference material related to the specific products you manage
  • Continuously identifying and developing new community initiatives and process improvements aimed at increasing retention and engagement of our VIP users
  • Managing customer-facing documentation, including game FAQs, and maintaining it frequently based on new features and changes to the game with updates
  • Creating post-mortem/learning summaries on notable community initiatives to be shared with the community team regularly
  • Building and managing strong relationships with VIP players through hands-on interactions and ambassador programs
  • Acting as an escalation point for player support, ensuring timely resolutions
  • Proactively reviewing incoming tickets via game-specific Slack channel to help identify trending issues before our support team flags them
  • Ad hoc projects and assistance as required


Your background should include:

  • Managing online communities and developing community engagement programs leading to proven growth of the community
  • Experience managing social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, X (Formerly Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and tools like Agorapulse
  • Experience working in a demanding customer-oriented environment, with the ability to remain positive and objective when dealing with the emotions of users
  • Exceptional writing skills, including email, messaging, content marketing, and storytelling
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver within deadlines with minimal error or constant reminders; and ability to remain focused under pressure
  • Attention to detail, and thoroughness; delivers to expectations and beyond using self-initiative
  • Self-driven high standard of performance; desire to continuously learn and grow
  • Willingness to contribute where needed to support the team and players
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Public Relations or related experience is helpful but not required
  • Experience working with licensors/brands with strong brand guidelines is a bonus
