Job Description

This role involves designing and developing new projects and enhancements for a world-famous client in the finance domain (specifically treasury is a plus). Responsibilities include delivering proof-of-concept solutions, working in agile teams, participating in design workshops, performing code reviews, and owning the full development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Oracle and PostgreSQL development, including application migration between the two. Must have:

7-10 years Oracle & Unix shell scripting exp.
4-5 years PostgreSQL experience
Oracle to PostgreSQL migration exp.
Database-intensive application development
Database design & normalization knowledge
ETL processing & data warehousing
Industry best practices & influential skills
CI/CD tools (Jira, TeamCity, Gitlab, Git, SonarQube)
Excellent communication skills

Project description

In this role, you will be working on projects for one of our world-famous clients. Responsibilities

Designing and developing new projects and enhancements.

Delivering and presenting proof of concept solutions to senior management.

Working in teams following agile development practices

Being involved in Development, Continuous Integration, and time-boxed iterative development;

Participating in and leading design workshops

Performing code reviews and reviews of technical documentation;

Owning the full development lifecycle, including the delivery of quality technical materials for each project

Skills

Must have

10 years of experience in Oracle development and Unix shell script.

5 years of experience in PostgreSQL.

Experience in application migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL.

Proficient in developing and maintaining database-intensive applications.

Sound knowledge of Design patterns, database design, and normalization.

Sound knowledge of ETL processing in Oracle server and data-warehousing concepts.

Sound knowledge of Industry best practices and good influential skills.

Knowledge of CICD tools like JIRA, TeamCity, Gitlab, Git, and SonarQube.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in the Finance domain, specific to treasury will be a plus.
