Job Description

The Primary KYC Specialist role involves manually reviewing and verifying KYC documents, ensuring compliance, and detecting fraudulent activity. The specialist will cross-check information with documentation using internal tools and CRM systems, respond to internal ticket escalations, and advise users on missing documentation. They will also prepare internal reports and maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with other teams to meet KYC standards. This role requires proficiency in English, attention to detail, and an analytical mindset.

Job Details

  • Manually review and verify KYC documents (identity, payment, residence);

  • Ensure compliance and accuracy by cross-checking submitted information with uploaded documentation using internal tools and CRM systems;

  • Detect fraudulent activity across various document types and escalate suspicious cases to internal stakeholders;

  • Respond to internal ticket escalations from Customer Support regarding KYC matters and provide resolution in a timely and professional manner;

  • Advise users on missing documentation and make informed decisions regarding document approval or rejection;

  • Prepare internal reports and maintain accurate documentation of all processed cases in the CRM system;

  • Work collaboratively with the Risk, Compliance, and Support teams to ensure regional KYC standards and quality benchmarks are met.

We need your professional experience:
  • Proficiency in English at an intermediate level or higher (strong written comprehension is essential);

  • Demonstrated responsibility, punctuality, and self-discipline in a structured work environment;

  • Ability to process large volumes of data with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail;

  • Strong analytical mindset and commitment to following procedures and compliance standards;

  • Previous experience in KYC, customer support, compliance, or document verification is a strong advantage, but not mandatory;

  • Willingness to work fully on-site in our Bogotá, Colombia office.
