About The Role

 

10:10 Games is looking for an experienced and passionate Social Media Manager to lead and coordinate the go-to-market planning and execution for a AAA publishing title. This role is a self employed position lasting until the end of 2024 for a candidate based in the United States.


For this project, you will develop, lead, and execute the social marketing strategy with a focus on US market activities. You will also work closely with our global partners and internal team on all global strategy and planning across all platforms and channels.


This title requires attention to detail, careful adherence to deadlines, a keen ability to pivot, and the ability to stay cool under pressure. It will also be an absolute blast, providing the opportunity to play in a sandbox of world-famous and beloved IPs; work alongside a historic development team; and the ability to lead a world-class social marketing campaign.  


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of executing industry-leading social media campaigns for AAA titles and are comfortable playing a managerial role in a fast-paced marketing team, setting standards through creativity and collaboration, and directly control brand social media channels. 


This position will report to the Marketing Director/Head of Publishing.

 

The role will:


  • Lead the strategy and execution of all tactics, social media opportunities and events tied to the game launch. 
  • Work with all internal and external partners to ensure social and community beats and activations are aligned and executed between necessary parties.
  • Manage all external social media agencies to ensure all tactics, content, and activations are brought to life. 
  • Manage all publishing and community engagement across all social media channels including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and Threads.
  • Collaborate proactively with teams managing influencer activations to ensure correct amplification of the title’s messaging and brand pillars via influencer content.
  • Work to establish pertinent KPIs and then utilize them to gather data to keep the GTM plan on track.
  • Keep up to date on industry best practices and provide recommendations for internal strategies. Be the driver for new platform experimentation and adoption. 


About You


  • 5+ years relevant work experience related to video game marketing.
  • Must have an affinity for pop culture, legendary brands in television and film.
  • Track record of launching a minimum of 1 shipped AAA title for the US market. 
  • Strong understanding of the current video games landscape and modern social marketing tactics. 
  • Strong spoken/written communicator for partner, media, and business audiences.
  • Experience working with global partners and adhering to complicated approval processes.
  • Intermediate skills in Photoshop, Premiere, and social media analytics suites.
  • Great interpersonal communication skills – able to help others and ask for help when needed.
  • Experience working with both creative minds and corporate entities.
  • Self-starter and strong team player who can work independently and responsibly.
  • Experience managing and working closely with agencies.
