As part of the operations team, this role champions and demonstrates our value pillars in action. To this aim, your strongest skills are your work initiative, organizational thinking, collaborative spirit, and positive approach to problem solving. You love acting as host and care about the experience people have when onsite. From keeping the office tidy and teaming up on studio events, to maintaining inventory and basic data entry, your work supports and collaborates with the Operations Manager and COO. Together, the operations team fosters an environment where creative people can truly thrive.
This is a full-time non-exempt position with a guaranteed 40 hours weekly with approved overtime accumulating after 40 hours in a week. This role has eventual potential for growth into a full-time Studio Coordinator/Executive Assistant role- dependent on desire, prior experience, and professional development. While the System Era staff works in a hybrid model, this role is an onsite support role for our office in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle during our standard business hours of M - F 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional after-hours event support will be required.
The ideal start date for this role is July 22, 2024. The base salary range for this position is $63,000 - $70,000 depending on the skills and experience of the candidate. We look for candidates who value joining a team with a diverse set of backgrounds, experiences, interests, and viewpoints.
This role requires that you wear many “hats” and bring a diverse array of skillsets, so we want to acknowledge that everyone has their strengths and weaknesses – and this position is designed to have mentorship and professional development built in. Which means, even if you do not meet the full list of qualifications below, we encourage you to apply.
Please include in your cover letter your perspective on professional growth, a description of your ideal office “vibe”, and some of your key work values.

Independent game developer based in Seattle, Washington currently working on ASTRONEER.
ASTRONEER places players in a 25th century gold rush where they explore the frontiers of outer space, risking their lives and resources in harsh environments for the chance of striking it rich. Resources extracted from planets, asteroids, and moons can be traded with friends or crafted into new tools, vehicles, and modules. Environments are procedurally generated in a uniquely rendered voxel engine, featuring a textureless aesthetic that allows players to deform and shape the terrain as though it were made of Play-Doh.
