Support Engineer for OLTP vertical

Job Description

• PagerDuty on-call job tasks when you will be expected to take whatever actions are necessary to resolve the issue and return your service to a normal state. On-call responsibilities may extend beyond normal office hours.
• Support existing automation, - tune and fix when necessary. Design and develop new automation components and features.
• Review and approve merge requests from Operational Team, applying run books and automation components
• Provide permission management to all existing and new users/roles, applying run books and automation components

Qualifications

• Good hands-on knowledge of MySQL (InnoDB)
• Be a skilled with some of the MySQL ecosystem of tools and technologies
• Strong SQL scripting skills
• Understanding of database architecture
• Experience with database optimization
• Familiarity with data security practices
• Knowledge of programming languages like Java, or Python
• Analytical thinking
• Teamwork
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

It's a bonus if candidate has experience with these

• ProxySQL
• Percona Monitoring & Management (PMM) and other monitoring tools
• Percona Toolkit suite
• Cloud Services such as AWS and RDS, Azure, GCP
