UX Copywriter (Sports Platform)

Sleeper is building the leading platform to connect friends over sports. Our mission is to create a digital playground for sports-fans and their friends to hang out together, play games, chat, send memes and more!

As a UX Writer/Copywriter at Sleeper, you’ll captain everything copy, shaping the language and content across our platform to ensure our users have a seamless and engaging experience. You’ll team up with product designers, engineers, and marketers to create content that’s a slam dunk for both casual and hardcore sports fans.

Game Plan: What You’ll Be Doing

• Write and edit UI text, in-app messaging, and other product content for web and mobile.

• Craft compelling copy for marketing campaigns, slogans, landing pages, and scripts for video content.

• Develop content strategies that enhance user experiences and align with our brand voice.

• Help maintain and evolve our content style guide and voice and tone guidelines – developing content and copy best practices to be applied across our product-ecosystem.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content is clear, consistent, and user-centered.

• Participate in user testing, research, and product development process to inform content decisions and provide feedback to cross-teams.
  
  

MVP Qualities: What We Look for in You

• 2 to 4 years of experience in UX writing, content design, or copywriting.

• Strong portfolio showcasing your writing skills and content strategy experience.

• Experience writing for marketing campaigns and creating persuasive, brand-aligned content.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Sharp attention to detail and a passion for creating user-centered content.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Familiarity with design and prototyping tools is a plus.

• Passion for sports, with a knack for weaving in current sports events, memes, and fan culture into your writing—you know how to call the right play at the right time.
