Job Description

The IT Project Manager will lead the delivery of technology projects. Responsibilities include developing and managing project execution, supporting program governance, managing interdependent projects, collaborating with stakeholders to define scope, leading project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and budget tracking. This role involves working closely with technical teams, identifying and mitigating risks, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. The role fosters a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices. The project involves the intelligent application of technology to transform and enable ALM business operations. The project also deals with the management of physical and digital data to enable the customer to optimize the business to ensure proper recovery, compliance and discovery.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience in technology project management.
  • Experience leading large-scale IT initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Experience supporting and interfacing with governance forums.
  • Ability to communicate and influence C-suite stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools.
Good to have:
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI or equivalent certification

Primary purpose of the role:

The Iron Mountain ALM Technology team are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead
the delivery of strategically significant technology projects, aimed at transforming and enabling
ALM business operations through the intelligent application of technology.

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project workstream planning and coordination,
working cross-functionally with internal teams across a global geography to drive successful
project deliverables.

Your role in our mission:

  • Develop and manage the execution of all key ALM Technology projects, aligned to the
    broader ALM Technology roadmap for Iron Mountain.
  • Support broader ALM program governance, including steering committee forums,
    through the provision of relevant plans, status reports, issues and risks.
  • Manage interdependent projects within the ALM Technology portfolio, ensuring seamless execution and alignment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope components, objectives, and key
    performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead all aspects of project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and budget
    tracking.
  • Work closely with technical resources to ensure timely delivery of committed deliverables.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues, capturing key decision points.
  • Establish and maintain clear and consistent communication with a broad range of
    stakeholders, from senior business leaders to technology delivery teams, representing
    project progress and outcomes
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and lessons
    learned

Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • 5+ years of experience in large-scale technology project delivery management,
    preferably in a complex enterprise environment.
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI or equivalent certification desirable. 
  • Proven experience leading large-scale IT initiatives, such as software development,
    infrastructure projects, or digital transformation programs.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, utilizing a range of traditional
    waterfall and agile delivery techniques.
  • Experience supporting and interfacing with project and program governance forums.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence C-suite level business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management planning and collaboration tools (e.g. Monday.com,
    Microsoft Project or similar).
