Job Description

About the Role:
Assystem is looking for a skilled Configuration Engineer – HVAC to work client-side with EDF at Hinkley Point C. You will be responsible for managing the configuration of HVAC systems, ensuring all design, installation, and changes meet the project's technical and safety standards.

Location: Satellite Delivery Centre, Bridgwater. 3/4 days per week in the office with regular travel to HPC site required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the configuration of HVAC systems, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of all changes.
  • Coordinate with design and installation teams to ensure HVAC systems are integrated smoothly and comply with project specifications.
  • Maintain version control for HVAC configurations and ensure all changes are aligned with EDF’s procedures and standards.
  • Oversee the validation and verification of HVAC systems, conducting audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with EDF’s engineering, quality, and construction teams to troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for regulatory reviews and audits.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience with HVAC systems configuration in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within the nuclear or energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC design and installation standards (e.g., BS EN 1886).
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a strong attention to detail in managing configuration changes.
  • Familiarity with configuration management and version control systems.
