Job Summary

Goliath BV, an international producer and distributor of board games and interactive toys, is seeking an experienced Country Manager for Benelux. This role is a significant opportunity to join during a growth phase, leveraging expertise in sales and potentially marketing. Key responsibilities include budget management, sales forecasting, gross margin oversight, and executing sales plans aligned with Goliath's strategy for sustainable long-term growth. The manager will also be responsible for pricing, promotion, assortment optimization, and fostering strong relationships with both online and traditional retailers.

Must Have

  • Responsibility for budget, sales forecast, and gross margin.
  • Execute the company's sales plan in line with Goliath's strategy, focusing on sustainable long-term growth.
  • Implement pricing strategy (catalog price, recommended retail price).
  • Implement channel/customer segmentation.
  • Implement promotion strategy (promotional calendar, RPP, discounts, value creation).
  • Implement assortment optimization (number of SKUs per category, gaps/opportunities).
  • Achieve profitable sales growth within the customer portfolio.
  • Maintain long-term relationships and loyalty with retailers (online and traditional).
  • Continuously identify new opportunities for the organization.
  • Travel to customers and/or trade fairs when necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in economics and/or business administration.
  • 7+ years experience in a commercial role, preferably within a product environment.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and contracting skills.
  • Analytical thinker, results-oriented, and driven to win.
  • Self-starter, flexible, and adaptable in an international team environment.
  • Action-oriented, motivated sales professional with proven business acumen.
  • Excellent listener and communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Fluent English.

Good to Have

  • Experience within a comparable sector (toys and/or FMCG).
  • Provide feedback and support to the marketing department.
  • Ability to drive change and make a difference (out-of-the-box thinker).
  • Another European language, especially French.

We are looking for a Country Manager for Benelux. This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager to join the organization during a period of growth and bring in their knowledge in sales and, as an added bonus, their input in marketing.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Responsibility for the budget, sales forecast, and gross margin.
  • Together with the Executive General Manager Europe, execute the sales plan for the company in line with Goliath's strategy, with a focus on sustainable long-term growth based on multiple sales incentives (distribution expansion, perfect in-store/online execution, visibility, assortment optimization, perfect pricing and promotion, and online strategy).
  • Execution of the pricing strategy: catalog price, recommended retail price.
  • Execution of channel/customer segmentation.
  • Execution of the promotion strategy: promotional calendar, RPP, discounts, and value creation.
  • Execution of assortment optimization: number of SKUs per category, gaps/opportunities.
  • Provide feedback and support to our marketing department.
  • Achieve profitable sales growth within the customer portfolio.
  • Responsible for maintaining long-term relationships and loyalty with retailers, both online and traditional retailers, and continuously identifying new opportunities for the organization.
  • Travel to customers and/or trade fairs when necessary.

Requirements

The successful candidate has the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics and/or business administration.
  • 7+ years experience in a commercial role, preferably within a product environment.
  • Experience within a comparable sector (toys and/or FMCG) is highly desirable.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and contracting skills.
