Description

Leidos is an innovation company rapidly addressing the world’s most vexing challenges in national security and heath.

We’re looking for a Creative Video Producer at its Reston VA location, with skills in videography, editing, and motion graphics. This hybrid position allows for partial remote work.

Leidos Life:
This position allows for some flexibility to work from home, and reasonable flexibility in working hours. When not working remotely, you’ll work out of our beautiful Reston office, with in-house cafeteria, free soda, pool table, classic video game room, and a balcony with gorgeous views of the surrounding area.

What You’ll Do Here:
  • Craft compelling, stylized video content for our corporate Marketing & Communications Department.
  • Work with a team of creatives with expertise in graphic design, video production, photography, and animation.
  • Script, coordinate, shoot, edit, and animate, taking the seed of a video idea and following it through to completion. This is a hands-on role for the well-rounded professional.
  • Create dynamic short-form content: promos, video stories, insightful interviews, animations, recruiting videos, enterprise-wide informational segments, animated signage, and yes, even the occasional ‘talking head’.
  • A host of creative software and tools will be at your disposal: Adobe Creative Cloud, FrameIO, multiple plugins, motorized sliders, dolly tracks, gimbals, and professional-level cameras.
  • Recent examples from our team: https://f.io/4BfSMwMJ

You Are:
  • A motivated creative storyteller with professional-level camera, editing and motion graphics skills.
  • Able to work with requestors to bring their video ideas to fruition, either single-handedly or with the help of the Creative Team.
  • Understand and use concepts like 3-point lighting, depth-of-field, motion blur, rule of thirds, compositing, adjustment layers, Bezier handles, etc
  • Strong project management, multi-tasking skills, good communication and an eye for detail.
  • Friendly, helpful, courteous, professional.
  • Accomplish quality projects with minimum oversight.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4- 8 years experience in a relevant field (or relevant experience). Additional years may be used in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Video Production
  • Skilled in editing and motion graphics (preferably Adobe Premiere & After Effects)
  • Skilled with professional-grade cameras (e.g., Sony FX3/FS7, Blackmagic)
  • Skilled with lighting, particularly for interview and studio/greenscreen scenarios
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently.
  • A portfolio/demo reel

Original Posting Date:

2024-06-14

While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00
