The Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer (CPSE) at Google's gTech Ads team delivers custom solutions and technical consulting to Google's advertisers, agencies, and partners. This role requires a blend of consulting and engineering skills, managing technical relationships with clients, working with the sales team to identify business opportunities, collecting requirements, and designing/implementing cross-product solutions. Responsibilities include end-to-end implementations and escalations for named accounts, ensuring advertisers achieve their business goals using Google's ad products and technologies. The CPSE anticipates, understands, and solves business challenges by tailoring innovative solutions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years coding experience (Java, C/C++, Python)
  • 3+ years client-side web tech experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP)
  • Technical troubleshooting and partner/customer management experience
Good to have:
  • Master's degree
  • Database experience (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Big data platform and analytics experience
  • Online advertising industry experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with big data platforms and large volume data analytics.
  • Experience in the online advertising industry.
  • Experience working on their own and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

The Google Customer Solutions Partner Engineering team within gTech Ads is made up of Customer and Partner Solutions Engineers (CPSE), client-facing engineers who deliver custom solutions and technical consulting to Google's advertisers, advertising agencies and other partners. We anticipate, understand and solve business challenges by tailoring innovative solutions in a timely fashion. The CPSE role combines consulting skills with engineering skills and requires cross-functional operations. In return, the role provides the ability to achieve large and tangible impact and the ability to integrate with a large business team and large growing partners.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage technical relationships with a client portfolio.
  • Work with the sales team to identify business opportunities leveraging both performance, display, video and shopping solutions.
  • Collect requirements, provide guidance and best practices to apply ad products and technologies to achieve advertisers partners business goals.
  • Design and implement cross-product customized solutions with the client.
  • Be responsible for end-to-end implementations and escalations handled by other Google teams for named accounts.
