Job Description

As a Customer Engineer, you'll collaborate with Technical Sales teams to showcase Google Cloud's capabilities to clients. Responsibilities include understanding client needs, designing cloud architectures, conducting proof-of-concepts, and troubleshooting. You'll present technical solutions to stakeholders and executives, focusing on Federal Civilian customers and their financial needs. The role involves leading technical projects, creating presentations and documentation, and advising on integration strategies and best practices for Google Cloud Platform optimization. Travel to client sites and events is required.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years cloud native architecture experience
  • Experience presenting to technical and executive stakeholders
  • Experience with Federal Civilian customers
  • Lead technical projects and architect client solutions
Good to have:
  • Experience with API management, microservices, PaaS, container orchestration
  • Big Data technologies and AI/ML experience
  • Federal Financials experience
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP or FISMA
  • Google Cloud Platform expertise

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Experience promoting technology solutions to the Federal Civilian customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing scalable architectures and mission solutions using API management, microservice frameworks, PaaS, and container orchestration systems, or other applicable platforms.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies or concepts, such as analytics warehousing, data processing, data transformation, data governance, and data migrations, and leveraging AI/ML solutions to solve customer issues.
  • Experience in, or supporting, Federal Financials.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks, especially FedRAMP or FISMA.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work within solutions in the Google Cloud/IT technology space.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$214,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Identify business and technical requirements, conduct full technical discovery, and architect client solutions to meet gathered requirements.
  • Lead technical projects, technology advocacy, support bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources.
  • Deliver product messaging for the Google Cloud Platform by using whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and Request for Information (RFI) response documents.
  • Drive recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure to implement a complete solution providing best practice advice to customers to optimize Google Cloud platform effectiveness.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other events as needed.
