Job Description

Do you want to lead an exciting department that advises some of Denmark's largest industrial and infrastructure companies on innovative solutions for complex projects? Then you might be our new Department Manager for Industrial Structures in Aarhus.

There is significant growth in both infrastructure and industrial projects, and we are looking at a pipeline that will keep us well occupied, both in the short and long term. The increasing demand for our services is seen not only locally but also internationally. Industrial Structures is known for its collaborative approach and for having and solving its own projects in collaboration with Rambøll's many other departments. The department is located in the Industry and Infrastructure Facilities division, which has 8 departments spread across 9 different offices. We are currently working on projects for Ørsted, Energinet, Vestas, and Novo Nordisk, among others.

Your new role

As our new Department Manager, you will be responsible for a department of approximately 25 employees, consisting of structural engineers, BIM specialists, and project managers – all with a common goal of developing innovative and sustainable load-bearing structures for complex infrastructure and industrial projects. In the department, we combine in-depth knowledge of building materials, statics, and structural engineering with insight into industry processes, requirements, and safety standards.

Our projects are interdisciplinary, as Rambøll typically handles all technical disciplines, architecture, and project and construction management. This gives you a daily routine with varied tasks, good opportunities to challenge yourself managerially and professionally, and a broad contact surface, both with colleagues and with partners and clients.

To succeed in the job as our new Department Manager, it is important that you have a deep interest in promoting, developing, and motivating a team. You must have a solid business understanding and the ability to create results through people. And last but not least, you must be able to take responsibility for the department's strategic direction and ensure that we continue to deliver high quality to our customers.

We offer you:

  • An exciting opportunity to make your mark from day one on both the department and our exciting projects.
  • A dynamic work environment with a strong emphasis on collaboration, both within the division and across Rambøll with colleagues in Building and other professional areas.
  • Opportunity for personal and professional development, as you will be part of an organization that actively works to challenge the status quo to contribute to sustainable development.
  • Opportunity to bring your expertise into play in projects, for example, in relation to tender processes, project initiations and deadlines, project economics, and resource overview.
  • A commercial role where you drive business development with a focus on growth.

About you

We imagine that you:

  • Have solid experience in management and project management within the industrial or construction sector – perhaps from another consulting engineering company.
  • Are an inspiring leader who can motivate and create engagement around you. You know how to make the team work together and deliver good results.
  • Are relationship-building and skilled at facilitating collaboration between different disciplines and departments.
  • Have a strategic mindset, but are also able to translate it into concrete initiatives.
  • Are innovative and curious – you dare to challenge conventional ways of working and are passionate about finding better solutions.

Are you ready to become part of Rambøll?

We hope that the above has piqued your interest and that you will consider sending us your CV.

We work to promote diversity, and therefore we encourage applicants from all groups to apply. We recognize that some candidates only apply when they meet all requirements. But passion and potential often outweigh a perfect CV, and Rambøll's learning culture can help you grow in the role.

Application deadline: December 6, 2025, but we process applications continuously, so do not hesitate to send us yours.

Thank you for considering this opportunity at Rambøll! We look forward to receiving your application.
