Job Description

We are seeking a passionate DevOps engineer to join our Software Factory team, which includes senior engineers with high expertise. This team has high visibility at Thales Group level, responsible for delivering releases of the Software Factory stack of tools used worldwide. You will join a transversal department offering DevOps & Cloud services, with opportunities for accelerated career growth through collaboration with experienced colleagues and participation in an International DevOps Community.
Good To Have:
  • Familiarity with FluxCD or other GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD)
  • Exposure to monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
  • Testing background, awareness of the K6 language
  • French language skills
Must Have:
  • Contribute to the development of future Software Factory releases
  • Collaborate with team members in an Agile environment
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Automate deployments and GitOps workflows
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and application reliability
  • Technical study in Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Electronics or similar
  • At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps engineer
  • Proficiency with Git and Gitlab CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration
  • Demonstrated scripting experience (Bash, Python)
  • Solid containerization skills (Docker)
  • Solid experience using Helm and Kubernetes for configuration & deployments
  • Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools
  • Experience managing artifact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus, etc.)
  • Experience managing code quality platforms (SonarQube, CodeClimate, etc.)
  • Good understanding of the DevOps culture, focused on automation
  • Troubleshooting curiosity, proactive attitude, solution oriented
  • Experience in working with Agile methodologies
  • Flexibility and adaptability skills
  • Professional level English

Job summary:

We are seeking a passionate DevOps engineer to join our Software Factory team. This team already contains senior engineers with high expertise who will be happy to welcome a new colleague. In terms of project, the team has a high visibility at Thales Group level, as it is responsible of delivering releases of Software Factory stack of tools which are used in lots of projects worldwide.

You will become part of a transversal department with experienced colleagues that offer DevOps & Cloud services to multiple activity domains. You will have the opportunity to grow in an accelerated rhythm in your career through a collaboration with the other colleagues and their accumulated expertise in various technologies. You will also become a member of an International DevOps Community with visibility across the entire company.

Mission / main responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of future Software Factory releases
  • Collaborate with the other members of the team and work in an Agile environment
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application delivery.
  • Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and Helm.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (or equivalent).
  • Automate deployments and GitOps workflows with FluxCD (or similar).
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and application reliability.

You need to have:

  • Technical study of Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Electronics or similar
  • At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps engineer
  • Proficiency with Git, Gitlab CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration.
  • Demonstrated scripting experience (Bash, Python)
  • Solid containerization skills (Docker)
  • Solid experience using Helm, Kubernetes for configuration & deployments (both on-prem and in Microsoft Azure)
  • Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
  • Experience managing artifact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus, etc.) and code quality platforms (SonarQube, CodeClimate, etc.).
  • Good understanding of the DevOps culture, focused on automation.
  • Troubleshooting curiosity, proactive attitude – looking for answers, solution oriented
  • Experience in working with teams that are using the Agile methodologies
  • Flexibility, adaptability skills in order to evolve in changing environments

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with FluxCD or other GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD).
  • Exposure to monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • Testing background, awareness of the K6 language
  • Travel  - 1-2 travels per year to France (if needed)

Languages:

  • English – mandatory, professional level
  • French – nice to have
