Job Description

The Digital Content Management Team Lead will oversee a team managing over 30 social channels for developers. This role involves team management, including mentoring, goal setting, and performance evaluation. Responsibilities include ensuring client and product area expectations are met, removing roadblocks, establishing priorities, and providing training. The lead will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including managers and program managers, to optimize processes and team efficiency. They will also be involved in hiring, training, and developing best practices for content publishing and event management. This role is for a temporary full-time contract.
Must have:

We are looking for:

Advanced Systems Group LLC. is seeking an experienced Digital Content Management Team Manager to lead a developer-facing social media outreach team that is responsible for managing 30+ social channels that reach millions of developers worldwide. We work with hundreds of developer educators, video producers, and writers to publish content that educates and engages with developers around the world. We act as the bridge between the experts and the community.
 

About the Role:

 In this role, you oversee the Digital Content Management [DCM] team, which plays a key role in supporting our social and video strategies across over a dozen programs on YouTube, Blog, and Podcasting channels. You’ll be responsible for overall team performance, ensuring client and product area expectations are met. You’ll help remove blockers, establish prioritization, provide training, QA work around bigger initiatives - all  with the goal of helping them to engage developers and IT audiences globally. Of equal importance is making sure that each member of the team has the managerial support they need to thrive in their roles. Success in this role requires regular communication with ASG Managers and Client stakeholders. Internally, you will be working with ASG Managers to make sure the DCM Team is in full alignment with our Ops and Social teams. Additionally, you’ll also connect with our Design and Video Production team leads as needed. Our external stakeholders include Program Managers and Host Managers, both of whom play key roles in developing strategies that will inform DCM priorities and initiatives. You’ll need to stay fully aligned with them to maximize team efficiency.
 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Manage and support the DCM team: mentor, inspire, set goals, remove blockers, balance workloads, lead weekly meetings, create team processes, establish team goals, foster positive team culture,  train as needed, and work with each team member to ensure personalized professional growth
  • Manage hiring during periods of growth
  • Understand the goals of our clients and each of our product areas to position the team for success
  • Work closely with the other teams (Ops, Social Strategy, Intel, Video, Localization, Community Management) to ensure we’re optimizing process
  • Sync regularly with Executive Producers and Host Managers, getting clarity around process, new initiatives, and priorities
  • Train new and existing team members to improve across the following categories: Strategy, Internal/External Communication, Product Knowledge, Data Analytics, Creativity, and Publishing Best Practices 
  • Act as the team’s POC as leadership scopes new business opportunities
  • With your team, document and update best practices per channel
  • Manage temps and process as needed
  • Leadership, education, and strategy for event publishing

Compensation & Benefits:

This full-time temporary role offers a salary of $120,000-$160,000 (prorated throughout the contract duration) depending on experience.
