As a People Advisor, you play a central role in our success by supporting our employees with their HR inquiries, so they can focus on their actual tasks. You take care of their concerns – whether big or small – and ensure they have a positive Employee Experience in every interaction with HR.
The People (HR) team for Germany is looking for a People Advisor to strengthen our team in Duisburg. This role supports our warehouse locations throughout Germany and is based on-site in Duisburg.
Your Role as People Advisor
As a People Advisor, you process HR-related inquiries from employees and managers and ensure that every interaction with HR becomes a positive experience. This includes, in particular, the following tasks:
- Independent processing of inquiries regarding HR policies and processes; understanding needs, reviewing options, developing solutions, and working closely with other HR colleagues to clarify concerns.
- Close collaboration with our warehouse managers on topics such as absences and disciplinary matters.
- Support for managers and employees on questions regarding compensation, benefits, and time and attendance tracking.
- Active work with Workday (our HR management system) as well as maintaining case trackers and ensuring timely actions.
- Support for employees on questions regarding benefits, policies, and processes; analyzing concerns, finding solutions, and coordinating with other HR colleagues.
- Guidance and training for employees and managers in HR systems and the HR service delivery model.
- Support for the execution of the HR cycle, including coordination and administration in the areas of recruiting, onboarding, annual performance management, transfers, exits, etc.
- Ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of HR-relevant documents; this includes, in particular, personnel files, HR policies and processes, compliance checks, and compensation and benefit documentation. Reducing potential legal and compliance risks through careful review and maintenance of documents.
- Active participation in various HR-related projects.

Your Profile – Skills and Experience:
- Experience in an HR function in an operational environment (e.g., warehouse or production operation).
- Understanding of compensation principles and shift models in operational organizations.
- Sound knowledge of German labor law as well as a solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal compliance requirements.
- Very good collaboration and communication skills.
- Very good German and English language skills, written and spoken.
- Experience with Workday or another HRIS is an advantage.
