SUMMARY:
The Marketing Creative Services (CS) team is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Graphics Designer to join our in-house agency as a Graphic Designer l. In this position you would be responsible for the design and production work for both print and digital platforms. If you’re an inquisitive designer who is always eager to contribute to the team and elevate the art, we’re looking for you!
Position reports to the CS Manager and operates under the general direction of the Senior Design Lead and Project Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and prepares creative assets for various digital platforms (Display, Programmatic, Social) including development, re-sizing, and file export
Manages brand templating software including authoring new templates, editing, and archiving assets, creating design templates, and ensuring client access
Designs and prepares electronic files for print, using prepress industry standards for file setup
Aligns design with input and creates templates using best practices in PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Suite, and other presentation software for executive and leadership presentations; gathers and implements feedback; incorporates edits
Modifies and manipulates illustrations and photography for creative assets and presentations
Using data, produces editable graphs and other visuals for presentations
Designs and produces digital graphics for inclusion in video productions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have strong creative skills, backed by a portfolio of work demonstrating a passion for design and typography. The ideal candidate will have experience working in numerous types of design, be driven by new perspectives, and be able to work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Two years of relevant design experience in an agency or in-house marketing environment
Bachelor’s degree in design or related field
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
Must be highly organized, and able to multitask
Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally in in-person and remote meetings, and in writing with all levels of the organization
Must stay current on new techniques by doing industry reading and attending seminars
Must demonstrate a willingness to take and apply feedback to improve
PREFERRED:
Experience creating 2D motion graphics (Adobe After Effects, Premiere, etc)
Experience creating HTML5 web banners (Google Web Designer)
Experience using project management software (Wrike, Workfront, Asana, etc)
Experience designing for Performance platforms
Background creating illustrations for B2C content
LOCATION:
HYBRID: 3-days a week in-office (DC area - Plaza desired)
PORTFOLIO:
Creative portfolio is required
