Job Description

The Christ Fellowship Kids Buddy Team Coordinator supports the Kids Ministry with leadership and care for children with special needs. This part-time position involves selecting and equipping a volunteer team, partnering with parents of kids with special needs, and collaborating with Area Coordinators to build relationships with special needs families. The role also includes ensuring a high-quality weekend experience for kids, assisting in event planning, supporting midweek programming, and contributing to Central Team initiatives. The coordinator will attend weekly staff and department meetings. The role is designed for someone who is organized and passionate about children's ministry. The position requires flexibility and adaptability. It is a part-time, hourly position.
Must have:
  • Experienced in a kids’ ministry environment.
  • College graduate or degree in progress.

Job Details

The Christ Fellowship Kids Buddy Team Coordinator supports the Kids Ministry with leadership and care for our kids with special needs.  This is a part-time, Salary (Exempt) position scheduled for 20 hours per week, including weekends and some nights, and reports to the Christ Fellowship Kids Director.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Selecting and equipping a volunteer team so they can thrive in their assigned roles on the Christ Fellowship Kids team.
  • Partnering with parents of kids with special needs.   
  • Partnering with Area Coordinators to build relationships with our special needs families.  
  • Partnering with Student Ministries to ensure kids and families transition well as they move up.
  • Growing campus attendance by implementing our Christ Fellowship Kids strategy.
  • Ensuring the overall weekend experience for kids is done with excellence in a safe, fun, meaningful, and engaging environment.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of events and spiritual milestones.
  • Supporting the supervision of midweek programming during the week as directed.
  • Contributing to Central Team initiative development and implementation as directed by and in cooperation with Central Kids Directors and team.
  • Attending weekly staff meetings and Department meetings as directed.

EDUCATION:

  • College graduate, or degree in progress; a focus in special needs education is a plus.
  • Experienced with 1 year in a kids’ ministry environment, either as staff or volunteer.

JOB SPECS: 

Classification: Part-time, hourly (non-exempt) position, scheduled to work up to 20 hours a week, including weekends and some nights.

Reporting to: Kids Director
