Job Summary

TransUnion is seeking Lead Developers for Data Science & Analytics to collaborate with Product Development Teams, leading initiatives from design to release of new data science products. Responsibilities include technical leadership, resolving issues, improving scalability, and applying expertise in entity resolution and large-scale data fusion. The role involves designing pre-sales customer engagements, presenting plans, and innovating new product ideas within financial services, fraud, and insurance domains. Proficiency in Python, Machine Learning, AWS, and other technical tools is essential.

Must Have

  • Collaborate with Product Development Teams to groom various initiatives.
  • Lead design, development, testing, and release of new data science and analytics products.
  • Lead team members in product design and code reviews.
  • Resolve technical issues and bring in innovation that improves scalability and performance of data analytics products.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of entity resolution and large-scale data fusion.
  • Design pre-sales customer data engagements.
  • Present plans to both internal and external customers.
  • Utilize domain knowledge in financial services, fraud, insurance, and other related industries.
  • Innovate to bring new product ideas to reality.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Computational Social Science or a related field plus 2 years of experience with Software Development.
  • Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Computational Social Science or a related field plus 5 years of progressive experience with Software Development.
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, NLTK), C/C++, R, Java, Machine Learning, Deep Learning & Neural Networks, Generative AI, Clustering and Classification, Causal Inference, AWS, Google Cloud, SQL/NoSQL, Microsoft Azure, PySpark, Hadoop, MapReduce, Shell, Git, Jupyter Notebook, Docker, Tableau, Anaconda.

Job Requirements

*Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Computational Social Science or a related field plus 2 years of experience with Software Development required. Required Skills: Python (Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, NLTK), C/C++, R, Java, Machine Learning, Deep Learning & Neural Networks, Generative AI, Clustering and Classification, Causal Inference, AWS, Google Cloud, SQL/NoSQL, Microsoft Azure, PySpark, Hadoop, MapReduce, Shell, Git, Jupyter Notebook, Docker, Tableau, Anaconda. Some telecommuting permitted.(*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Computational Social Science or a related field plus 5 years of progressive experience with Software Development also acceptable.)

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $142,210/yr. - $142,210/yr.annually. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may also be eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
