Job Summary
Join Ubisoft Ivory Tower, a global leader in video games, as a Level Designer for an unannounced project. You will be responsible for a part of the level design and the integration of gameplay elements, building and assembling game levels in collaboration with Level Artists to enrich the player experience. Key tasks include documenting level design, creating and adjusting levels, ensuring layout relevance, blocking levels, and collaborating with various development teams.
Must Have
- Write and update Level Design documentation in accordance with creative direction and GDD
- Create, implement, and adjust game levels according to defined rules
- Ensure the relevance of layouts with existing systems
- Ensure level blocking and create simplified paper proposals
- Work closely with various trades involved in game development (artists, game designers, narrative designers, programmers…)
- Ensure technical consistency of levels while respecting production constraints
- Analyze and correct level design bugs
- Solid experience in Level Design, ideally on AAA game productions including enemy configuration
- Good technical knowledge of game engines, vocabulary, and constraints of other trades
- Good knowledge of blocking, world building, and level building
- Excellent communication, team spirit, collaborative work, and autonomy
- Proficiency in English (written and oral)

Job Description
Under the responsibility of the Lead Designer in charge of the team, you will be responsible for a part of the level design and the integration of gameplay elements. To enrich the player experience, you will build and assemble game levels and the world in collaboration with the Level Artists.
Main missions:
- Write and update Level Design documentation in accordance with the creative direction and the GDD
- Create, implement, and adjust game levels while respecting the initially defined rules
- Ensure the relevance of layouts with existing systems
- Ensure the blocking of levels and create simplified paper proposals
- Work in close collaboration with the various trades involved in game development (artists, game designers, narrative designers, programmers…)
- Ensure the technical consistency of levels while respecting production constraints
- Analyze and correct level design bugs
Qualifications
- Solid experience in Level Design, ideally on AAA game productions including enemy configuration
- Good technical knowledge of game engines, vocabulary, and constraints of other trades
- Good knowledge of blocking, world building, and level building
