Vertigo Games is seeking an Office & Event Manager to be the heartbeat of their Rotterdam office. This part-time role (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) involves managing office supplies, collaborating on team-building events, organizing company gatherings, and acting as the primary contact for external service providers. The ideal candidate is passionate about people, detail-oriented, and proficient in organizational software, ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming environment.

Must Have:
  • Be an ambassador for the company internally and externally.
  • Manage and purchase office materials, supplies, merchandise, and food.
  • Collaborate with HR on the yearly teambuilding and events calendar.
  • Organize events like the annual Christmas party and team outings.
  • Be the first point of contact for external service providers.
  • Book and manage financial settlement of business trips.
  • Arrange gifts for employees for holidays or special occasions.
  • Welcome external visitors and ensure their needs are met.
  • Passionate about working with people.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Take ownership of your work.
  • Affinity with organisational software (Microsoft Excel, Google calendar).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English.
  • Eligible to work in the EU without a visa.
  • This is an in-office position; remote/hybrid work is not an option.

We are Vertigo Games, the home of VR gaming! We develop and publish some of the best VR titles to date and we love doing it!

We offer you the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals on the core of an exciting growing VR game development studio. As our Office & Event Manager, you will become the heartbeat of our Rotterdam office making sure that we keep going!

Key responsibilities:

  • Being an ambassador for the company both internally and externally.
  • Managing and purchasing office materials & supplies, company merchandise and food.
  • Collaborating with the HR team to plan the yearly teambuilding and events calendar.
  • Organizing events such as the annual Christmas party, fun team outings or external meetings.
  • Being the first point of contact for various external service providers (landlord, coffee company, etc.).
  • Booking and managing the (financial) settlement of business trips.
  • Arranging gifts for employees for holidays or newborn babies, etc.
  • Welcoming external visitors and ensuring that they have what they need for their visit.

Your profile

  • Passionate about working with people.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • You take ownership of your work.
  • Affinity with organisational software such as Microsoft Excel, Google calendar, etc.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • You are fluent in both Dutch and English.
  • You are eligible to work in the EU without a visa.
