Job Summary
The Post-Trade Services and Risk Analyst will work within CME Group’s Clearing House, focusing on daily trade processing for derivatives and risk management. This role involves monitoring risk and systems for new Event Contracts over weekends and assisting in the launch of US Treasury and Repo clearing services during the week. Responsibilities include strategic planning, operational and risk management, developing governance documents, and engaging internal stakeholders and external market participants.
Must Have
- Provide support to clearing member firms, customers and business partners on CME Group’s product offering and clearing systems.
- Mitigate customer impactful events through escalation to management and troubleshoot with technology teams.
- Drive improvements in risk management practices and contribute to the Clearing House’s operational risk framework.
- Work globally with teammates on new initiatives and projects.
- MBA/MS/BS in Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 1-2 years prior work experience with listed derivatives, Treasury Securities, Repo markets, or OTC products at a clearing house, FCM, or trading firm.
- Strong experience in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Description
The Clearing Post-Trade Services and Risk team operates within CME Group’s Clearing House and oversees daily trade processing for futures/options and over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives, ensuring the timely clearing of customer transactions and performing key risk management functions. The Clearing House guarantees its member firms meet their financial obligations for all open positions, as well as offering various clearing services to drive efficiencies for CME Group’s customers.
The Post-Trade Services and Risk Analyst will be working on two new initiatives with CME Group. The analyst will be monitoring risk and systems for our new Event Contracts suite over the weekend and assisting in the launch of our new US Treasury and Repo clearing service during the week. Responsibilities will include strategic planning and design of clearing systems, operational and risk management, development of operational risk governance documents, and engaging internal stakeholders and external market participants.

What you'll do:

What you'll need:
- MBA/MS/BS in Finance, Economics, or related field
- 1-2 years prior work experience with listed derivatives, Treasury Securities, Repo markets, or OTC products at a clearing house, FCM, or trading firm
- Securities clearing and Operational Risk management experience preferred
- Strong experience in Excel (or Google Sheets) including pivot tables, vlookups, and macros
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
