Job Summary
LSEG is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect for Finance Engineering to lead a multi-year transformation. This role involves creating strategy, roadmaps, and business cases for Finance Systems, aligning tech with business goals, and providing architectural guidance. The architect will ensure the integrity of Finance platforms, design AI-driven solutions, and modernize data strategies, including migration to OCI. Responsibilities also include defining architecture for scale, streamlining data management, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Must Have
- Provide strategic guidance and direction for Finance Engineering platforms and systems.
- Enhance Finance ecosystems with AI-driven solutions and delivery.
- Design data modernization strategies and architecture solutions including Oracle Exadata/ADB and Data integration.
- Design migration/modernization strategy for transitioning databases to OCI.
- Define architecture strategies for scale, reliability, and high performance.
- Streamline data management across Finance systems.
- Enable data-driven decision making across the organization.
- Set long-term architecture strategy to support Finance Business and Engineering goals.
- Manage relationships with Finance leadership to influence adoption of tools/technology.
- Maximise relationships with vendors, regulators, and industry bodies.
- Act as trusted advisor and leader across the wider LSEG Engineering.
- Lead solutioning ensuring alignment with broader Corporate and Group Engineering strategies.
- Facilitate adoption of Product-led and agile delivery methodology.
- Provide leadership, mentor, and development to their team.
- Maintain relationships with key suppliers, setting performance standards.
- Work closely with other Corporate Engineering capability teams.
- Demonstrate and promote adoption of emerging & innovative technology and automation.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion APIs, Web Services, and middleware solutions.
- Strong understanding of multi-cloud environments (Oracle, AWS, Azure) with proficiency in OCI DI, Data flow, ODI, OML, Apex.
- Data savvy with knowledge of technology architecture like integration, network & security practices.
- Influence design, capacity planning, tuning, build out, and operation of customer solutions leveraging Oracle technologies.
- Architect technical solutions for Oracle Cloud integrations, reports, custom enhancements, and workflows using various technologies.
- Implementation experience of AI tools and technologies and AI platform enablement.
- Experience with modern engineering practices, agile practices, automation, and deployment pipelines.
- Experience handling products on different solution models (SaaS, PaaS, managed service).
- Experience developing and executing strategy and governance across Product Engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, Change Management.
- Deep and broad knowledge of emerging technology to promote innovation.
- Strong knowledge of data quality and lineage from source to output.
- Experience building and leading a scaled agile function.
- Proven track record of using industry standard processes and frameworks.

Job Description
LSEG needs a seasoned Enterprise Architect to work in our Finance Engineering where we are going through a multi-year transformation journey.
In this role, you will be accountable for creating strategy, roadmaps and business cases across Finance Systems. You will need to closely work with business to align the tech strategy with business strategy and steer them in the right direction. The role will also provide ongoing architectural guidance to multiple large programs through their lifecycle.
Responsible for governance of the applications and solutions under Finance Engineering capability. You need to ensure the overall architecture, design, implementation and integrity of the Finance platforms within Corporate Engineering is sound. Also responsible for ensuring that the solution delivered to business units is engineered according to Enterprise architecture and infrastructure standards.
Key Responsibilities;
- Provide strategic guidance and direction to drive the architecture and solutions for Finance Engineering platforms and systems
- Enhance entire Finance echo systems with AI driven solutions and delivery
- Design data modernization strategies and architecture solutions including Oracle Exadata/ADB and Data integration, Data foundation for AI/ML and GenAI solutions
- Design migration/modernization strategy for transitioning databases to OCI, including creating architecture blueprints and detailed documentation
- Define architecture strategies for scale, reliability and high performance
- Streamline data management across Finance systems
- Enable data driven decision making across organization
- Setting the long-term strategy of architecture to support the Finance Business and Engineering strategic goals
- Manage relationships with the Finance leadership to influence the adoption of tools/technology versus customization
- Maximise relationships with vendors, regulators and industry bodies to seek and adopt industry standard methodologies in enterprise architecture and technology strategy
- Act as trusted advisor and leader across the wider LSEG Engineering
- Leads the solutioning ensuring alignment with the broader Corporate Engineering and Group Engineering strategies
- Facilitate the adoption of Product-led and agile delivery methodology to enable business agility and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provides leadership, mentor and development to their team to drive high performance
- Maintains relationships with key suppliers, setting performance standards and handling the resolution of raised service issues
- Works closely with other Corporate Engineering capability teams with comprehensive interlocking understanding and shared plans/goals/priorities
- Demonstrate the latest emerging & innovative technology and automation and promotes it adoption across the function, to enable business growth, simplification of processes, improved customer experience and cost reduction of delivery & maintenance
Key Experience;
- Experience with Oracle Fusion APIs, Web Services, and middleware solutions
- Strong understanding with multi-cloud environments, working with Oracle, AWS, or Azure preferred with proficiency in OCI DI, Data flow, ODI, OML, Apex desired, integration techniques and tools
- Data savvy with knowledge of various aspects of technology architecture like integration, network & security practices and compliance requirements.
- Influence the design, capacity planning tuning and the actual build out and operation of customer solutions leveraging Oracle technologies such as Exadata DB instances on Oracle Cloud infrastructure including OCI Storage and Network, Play a key role in the design of DR solutions around OCI cloud service.
- Architect technical solutions for Oracle Cloud integrations, reports, custom enhancements, customizations, and workflows using technologies including OICS, SOACS, VBCS, PLSQL, OTBI, BI Publisher, JavaScript and APEX.
- Implementation experience of AI tools and technologies and AI platform enablement
- Modern engineering practices, agile practices, automation and deployment pipelines
- Engineering balanced solutions and processes for the long term.
- Experience handling products on different solution models (SaaS, PaaS, managed service etc.)
- Experience of the developing and executing strategy and governance across several fields including Product Engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, Change Management, and delivering the agreed strategy to completion
- Experience of demonstrating deep and broad knowledge of emerging technology to promote innovation across the organisation to deliver services and solve business problems
