Job Summary
The Senior Manager – Data & Reporting will lead the design, delivery, and reporting solutions for Workforce Strategy, focusing on Power BI, Excel modelling, and analytical insight within LSEG's Engineering division. This role acts as a subject-matter expert, transforming data into clear, reliable, and actionable intelligence to support commercial decision-making and operational effectiveness. Key responsibilities include leading Power BI development, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, influencing data architecture, and engaging with senior stakeholders.
Must Have
- Expert-level Power BI skills including DAX, Power Query (M), data modelling, optimisation, row-level security, and workspace governance.
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, complex modelling).
- Strong experience in SQL, data manipulation, and relational databases.
- Proven track record delivering analytics and reporting solutions within financial services.
- Demonstrable ability to convert complex data into meaningful insight for senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing and developing a team of analysts or BI developers.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director Engineering Workforce Strategy Transformation, the Senior Manager – Data & Reporting will lead the design, delivery, and Workforce Strategy (WFS) reporting solutions, with a particular focus on Power BI, Excel modelling, and analytical insight. This role acts as a subject-matter expert across Engineering, ensuring data is transformed into clear, reliable, and actionable intelligence that supports commercial decision-making and operational effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled data professional with deep technical expertise, strong stakeholder-management capabilities, and a track record of delivering high-quality analytics within a fast paced environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Power BI & Reporting Leadership
- Lead the Data Reporting function for Workforce Strategy
- Lead the development, governance, and continuous improvement of organisation-wide Power BI reporting solutions.
- Design and deliver high quality dashboards with strong UX, consistency, and performance optimisation.
- Champion self-service analytics across the business and provide training/support to non-technical users.
Data Analysis & Insight
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
- Translate data into clear insights, narratives, and recommendations for stakeholders
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all reporting outputs, validating results through robust QA processes.
Data Modelling & Engineering
- Work closely with the wider organisation to influence source-data, pipelines, and architecture.
- Develop repeatable data processes, documentation, and governance to support efficient reporting.
- Act as a SME on Workforce Strategy within LSEG engaging with the enterprise solution and assist with the implementation and roll out of the enterprise solution.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Engineering Divisions, Finance, HR, Procurement and Risk, to understand reporting needs.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with clear timelines and deliverables.
- Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and steering groups.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
