Job Description

The PremierOne Records Application Specialist is responsible for understanding and addressing customer business requirements for MSI applications. This involves documenting business process requirements, implementing system provisioning, configuring workflows and UI, and providing training on the MSI PremierOne Records Management System. The specialist also conducts testing and troubleshooting, documents technical issues, and provides feedback for product and process improvements. The role requires proficiency in various public safety systems, including CAD, RMS, and JMS, and involves travel for project assignments and training delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. It also requires obtaining a background clearance.
Must have:
  • High School diploma or College degree with 3+ years experience.
  • Experience with CAD, RMS, JMS, or LRMS is required.
  • Must obtain necessary background clearance.
Good to have:
  • Excellent written and verbal skills for RFPs and customer assistance.
  • Ability to work on complex projects independently.
  • Ability to create and deliver customized training (remote and onsite).
  • SME on PremierOne or Flex; CAD, RMS or SSRS products.
  • SME on Client Installation of MSI products.
  • SME on UCR (NIBRS or SRS).
  • Ability to produce and deliver Business Process Review.

Job Description

The PremierOne Records Application Specialist plays a pivotal role in comprehending and addressing customers' business requirements for MSI applications. Key responsibilities encompass meticulous documentation of business process requirements, proficient implementation of system provisioning, adept configuration of workflows and UI, and providing comprehensive training on the MSI PremierOne Records Management System. Furthermore, this position conducts rigorous testing and troubleshooting of installed systems, meticulously documents technical issues for prompt escalation to product and system integration teams, and offers valuable feedback for product and process improvements based on client experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills in order to respond to RFP’s and/or assist in the migration quotes of our current customers. 

  • Ability to work a large/complex project independently.

  • Create and deliver customized training (both remote and onsite).

  • Must be able to execute, create, review, and modify FVTs. 

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills. 

  • SME on PremierOne or Flex; CAD, RMS or SSRS products. 

  • SME on Client Installation of MSI products.

  • SME on UCR (NIBRS or SRS).

  • Ability to produce and deliver Business Process Review.

  • Identifies and mitigates risks and communicates those to management. 

  • Creates formal documentation for peers. 

  • Trains and mentors new employees.  

  • Primary point of contact for application related issues. 

  • Works with Product Management to communicate enhancement requests.  

  • Ability to provide all required customer training without assistance.  

  • Must be able to function effectively in a fast paced demanding environment that usually requires the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.

  • Must be able to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.

  • Must be  comfortable working in a team environment and understand the contractual obligations as well as personal responsibilities.

  • Higher level education (Bachelor's or Associate's degree) preferred.

  • Must be able and willing to travel up to 75% of the time. Note: Project assignments can be located anywhere within North America.

  • Weekend travel may be required.

  • This position is a hybrid position, but candidates must be located in the Central or North Eastern Region to be considered.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Target Base Salary Range

$63,800.00 - $127,600.00

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.


Basic Requirements

  • High School diploma, or College degree with 3+ years experience in one of the following: Business Analysis, Field Service or Public Safety using one or more of the following: Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Record Management Systems (RMS), Jail Management Systems (JMS), or Law Enforcement Records Management Systems (LRMS) required.

  • Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by our government customers.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
