Project Engineer

BESIX Infra, a leading infrastructure contractor in Flanders and Brussels, is seeking a Project Engineer. This role involves analyzing tender documents, providing technical support, optimizing execution methods through studies, and collaborating with various stakeholders. You will support the calculation department and report to the head of the engineering department. Must Have

• Analyze tender documents and provide technical support to the site team.
• Prepare technical, financial, and organizational studies to optimize execution methods.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and engineering firms.
• Provide support to the calculation department during the tender phase.
• Report to the head of the engineering department and collaborate with teams.
• Possess a diploma in industrial or civil engineering.
• Fluent in Dutch and good knowledge of English or French.
• Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
• Familiar with Standard Specification 250.
• Flexible, socially skilled, and strong organizational skills.
• Proactive, hands-on mentality, and takes responsibility.

Job Description

As a Project Engineer at BESIX Infra, you will have the opportunity to develop and grow within a dynamic environment. You will:

• Analyze tender documents and technically support the site team during project preparation and execution.
• Prepare technical, financial, and organizational studies to optimize our execution methods and discuss these improvements directly on site.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and engineering firms, building a broad network and further expanding your knowledge.
• Provide support to the calculation department during the tender phase of specific projects.
• Report to the head of the engineering department and collaborate with various teams within the company.

Job Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who:

• Holds a diploma in industrial or civil engineering, preferably with several years of experience in infrastructure or road construction.
• Speaks fluent Dutch and has a good knowledge of English or French.
• Is proficient with PC applications such as MS Office and MS Project; knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Is familiar with Standard Specification 250.
• Is flexible, socially skilled, and organizationally strong, with a passion for technology and innovation.
• Enjoys taking responsibility and has a proactive, hands-on mentality.
