Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for managing, reviewing, and improving existing processes, ensuring their smooth operation and sustainability. This role acts as the primary contact for all project stages, including identifying issues and needs with stakeholders, analyzing them, proposing solutions, and implementing them. Key responsibilities include improving project tracking quality, defining best practices, gathering client needs, managing team resources, implementing project management methodologies, collaborating with internal partners, monitoring project progress, and ensuring effective communication.

Must Have

  • Manage, review, and improve existing processes to ensure smooth operation and sustainability.

  • Meet clients, gather, analyze, and understand their needs, ensuring their involvement.
  • Define and apply best methods and practices, contributing to their progression and implementation.
  • Determine necessary team resources (availability, skills) and ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Implement an appropriate methodology for efficient project management, respecting quality, budget, and deadlines.
  • Understand inter-departmental processes and collaborate with internal partners to implement optimal solutions.
  • Monitor work progress, provide expert advice for project initiatives, and communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Complete project closing activities (review, post-mortem, accounting).
  • Proactively follow up with clients and on mandates.
  • Maintain up-to-date client information (production mandates, satisfaction, deadlines).
  • Provide regular project status reports and escalate risks and project scope when needed.
  • Ensure quality of client communications (frequency, adaptation to context and product).
  • Relevant College and/or University education.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant discipline.

Job Description

The person holding this position is responsible for managing, reviewing, and improving existing processes, while ensuring their smooth operation and sustainability.

The person will be the point of contact for all stages of a project: identifying problems and needs in collaboration with various stakeholders, analyzing them, proposing solutions, and implementing them.

What you will do

  • Ensure and/or define the improvement of the quality of project follow-ups and processes by implementing appropriate best practices and/or techniques.
  • Meet clients, gather, analyze, and understand their needs, and ensure their understanding and involvement in future steps.
  • Define and apply the best methods and practices and participate in their progression and implementation.
  • Determine the necessary team resources, with the various managers (availability, competence) and ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in the implementation of an appropriate methodology to ensure effective project management and thus respect constraints such as quality, budget, and deadlines.
  • Understand intra and inter-departmental processes, workflows, and interrelationships, and collaborate with internal partner services to orchestrate and facilitate the implementation of optimal solutions and/or improvement projects and workshops.
  • Monitor the progress of work (support for teams/project/production), provide expert advice for project initiatives, and regularly communicate achievements and progress status to stakeholders, ensuring adequate communication between different collaborators.
  • Complete project closing activities (review, post-mortem, accounting).
  • Proactively follow up with clients and on mandates.
  • Know your client base, particularly by maintaining up-to-date information such as: monitoring production mandates, general satisfaction, deadlines, etc.
  • Provide regular reports on the status of your projects, escalate risks and project scope if necessary.
  • Ensure the quality of communications with clients (frequency, adaptation according to context and product, etc.).
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Qualifications

What you will bring to the team

  • College and/or University education in a relevant discipline.
  • Training/Excellent knowledge/certification in project management or process optimization and continuous improvement approaches is an asset.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer relationship skills.
