Your Role:
As a RtR (Record to Report) Team Lead you will be responsible for managing a team of professionals who are responsible for the end-to-end accounting process, from recording transactions to producing financial statements. Your daily work will be related to:
- Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
- Manage the team responsible for fixed assets and general ledger accounting to deliver the best possible results
- Managing month-end closing activities and supervising financial/tax reporting
- Maintain Strong Internal Controls surrounding the complete process
- Sox compliance, approval verification and quality control review
- Leading, motivation and solving daily problems by mentoring
- Lead, inspire by setting a good example (role model) - behavior consistent with words
- Plan and organize effective team operations
- Ensure adequate staffing and backup support model in place to meet business needs and limit support interruption due to attrition
- Assure that the team members have the necessary education and training to effectively participate on the team
- Focus on employee development and evaluation
- Recognize and celebrate team and team member accomplishments and exceptional performance
- Establish regular meeting times, places and agendas
- Conducting performance appraisal for the team
- Ensure that the service levels are maintained (SLAs)
- Report to the management on team performance (KPIs) and project operations
- Ensure respective processes are described in Standard Operating Procedures and the procedures are up to date and in line with Aptiv processes
- Playing a key role in continues improvement and standardization process
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements in respect of GL processes.
- Manage customer relationship
- Taking active role in recruiting new team members
- Transitioning of accounting processes from various European countries
- Fulfilling of managers instructions and requests
Your background:
- Professional experience within accounting area 3+ years
- Experience in team management
- Higher education in Accounting, Finance or Economy
- Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
- Strong relationship and business partnering skills
- Very good organization and delegation skills
- Strategic thinking
- Proactivity and ability to take initiative, decision making
- English
- SAP knowledge (would be an asset)
- Strong Excel skills
