Job Summary

This role involves collaborating with concept and environment artists to create project-aligned SD materials and establish a basic scene material library. The artist will iterate on existing material assets using Substance 3D Painter and Designer, manage internal material assets, and coordinate with external partners for outsourcing. Key requirements include an art-related degree, 3+ years of 3D modeling experience, 2+ years in SD material commercial projects, and proficiency in various DCC tools and game engines.

Must Have

  • Collaborate with concept artists, environment artists, and other art departments to create SD materials
  • Assist in establishing a basic scene material library
  • Iterate on existing material assets using Substance 3D Painter and Substance 3D Designer
  • Manage and coordinate internal material assets
  • Familiar with outsourcing processes and able to coordinate external production stages
  • Associate's degree or above in an art-related major
  • 3+ years of 3D model production experience
  • 2+ years of SD material commercial project experience
  • Proficient in 3Dmax, Maya, Substance 3D Painter, Zbrush, and Substance 3D Designer
  • Familiar with Unreal/Unity engines, with a solid art foundation
  • Master PBR workflow for realistic and stylized materials
  • Experienced and sensitive to performance optimization, able to implement optimization solutions with graphics programmers and TAs

2. Assist models and environment artists in establishing a basic scene material library.

3. Iterate on existing material assets using Substance 3D Painter and Substance 3D Designer based on in-engine effects.

4. Effectively manage and coordinate internal material assets.

5. Familiar with outsourcing processes and able to coordinate various production stages with external partners.

Job Requirements

1. Associate's degree or above, in an art-related major.

2. 3+ years of 3D model production experience, 2+ years of SD material commercial project experience.

3. Proficient in 3Dmax, Maya, Substance 3D Painter, Zbrush, in addition to Substance 3D Designer.

4. Familiar with Unreal/Unity engines, with a solid art foundation, mastering PBR workflow for realistic and stylized materials.

5. Sufficient experience and sensitivity to performance optimization, able to collaborate with graphics programmers and TAs to implement performance optimization solutions.

6. Strong learning ability and a relentless pursuit of excellence in work.

7. Good stress resistance and teamwork skills.
