Job Description

The Senior Channel Training and Certification Specialist is responsible for improving and developing the Ansys Channel Partner Certification program. This role involves designing and maintaining training curricula, coordinating and delivering training sessions, and assessing partner performance. The specialist collaborates with internal teams and partners to align certification requirements with business objectives, tracks progress, and ensures partners stay updated. The specialist also gathers feedback to improve the program, support customer satisfaction, and the overall growth of the channel partner network. This involves continuous improvement of the certification program, ensuring that channel partners possess the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively represent and sell Ansys’ products and services. This position requires delivering training sessions and customer satisfaction surveys, and developing reports and metrics.
Must have:
  • Maintain certification program infrastructure and tools.
  • Maintain and update certification tests and databases.

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering simulation or PLM.

  • Understanding of digital transformation business drivers.
  • Good understanding of competitive products.

Summary / Role Purpose

The primary responsibility of this position is the continuous improvement and development of the Ansys Channel Partner Certification program to ensure channel partners possess the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively represent and sell Ansys’ products and services. Working with other departments, it is the responsibility of this position to design and maintain training curricula, coordinate and deliver training sessions, and assess partner performance. This role collaborates closely with internal teams and partners to align the certification requirements with business objectives, tracks certification progress, and ensures partners remain up to date with the latest product offering and best practices. The specialist also gathers feedback to continuously improve the certification program, support customer satisfaction, and the overall growth and success of the channel partner network.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the infrastructure and tools used to build a best-in-class certification program.
  • Maintain and update the certification tests and questions databases.
  • Develop high level plans, processes, and tools to ensure the certification program is aligned with channel program short-term and longer-term growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sales, ACE, Marketing and BU Development as needed to collect and organize training and certification materials for sales reps, Application Engineers and other roles.
  • Identify gaps and challenges with the certification program, propose solutions, and carry out implementation of such solutions to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Deliver training in areas of expertise related to fluids, mechanical, electronics, and new products.
  • Drive customer satisfaction within the Channel Partner customer base through surveys and other innovative methods.
  • Conduct channel partner customer surveys and communicate results to partners to ensure follow-up and resolution of complaints, and ensure remedies are implemented (additional training, process changes, additional capacity, etc.)
  • Develop, automate, and maintain reports and metrics to enable effective execution of the training and certification program, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Support quarterly reports and scorecards for each channel partner to help bring visibility to accomplishments, progress towards yearly goals, and identify challenges.
  • Identify and communicate issues quickly to management and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Other job-related duties may be assigned by management from time to time.

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering simulation or PLM industry, including 3 years of industry applications experience.
  • Practical knowledge of CAD, FEA, CFD, and EMAG and other engineering software technologies.
  • Self-motivated, strong problem-solving skills, and able to work independently.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, other Microsoft tools, reporting and data analysis.
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration with colleagues across Ansys and partners.
  • Travel 15%+ required, including international.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline
  • Drive for results
  • Ability to leverage cross-functional resources necessary for a successful training and certification program.
  • Understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud computing, IOT, Electrification, Digital Twin, Additive Manufacturing trends and their impact on customer opportunities.
  • Good understanding of competitive products.
  • Strong skills in using tools such as Power BI, Power Flow, Power Automate, Advanced Excel functionality and scripting.
