Must have:
  • 12+ years of product management experience.
  • Experience building products from zero to one.
  • Expertise in AI/ML technologies.
Good to have:
  • Experience with RPA tools and process automation.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Sr. Director of Product to lead the strategy, innovation, and growth of our horizontal global products & vertical industry new product introduction teams for Iron Mountain’s Digital Business Unit.  This role requires a seasoned product leader with a proven track record of building product & solutions from the ground up, scaling organizations, and driving impactful business results. This role will report directly into the SVP of Product Management, Solutions & Product Marketing.

As the Sr. Director of Product, this role will refine the current horizontal offerings & regional alignments, explore new customer segments, and define a unified, scalable product strategy that ensures market leadership and revenue growth on top of our industry leading data management platform, DXP.

Role and Responsibilities

Strategic Solution Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and evolving market opportunities.

  • Lead growth from zero to one, driving innovation and scaling the solutions & offerings  for global adoption.

  • Drive impactful business outcomes by identifying opportunities for differentiation and delivering market-leading solutions.

  • Balance innovation with operational excellence, ensuring scalability, security, and profitability.

  • Work & lead various matrixed functions across product development and management, engineering and technical development, and sales enablement and go-to-market execution

Customer-Centric Innovation

  • Partner with engineering to integrate cutting-edge AI/ML technologies to address critical business challenges.

  • Drive new feature development and enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends.

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Create and execute a global go-to-market (GTM) strategy, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Service Excellence teams to optimize product positioning and customer acquisition.

  • Identify and expand into new market segments, ensuring competitive differentiation and alignment with global business goals.

  • Equip the sales team with the tools, knowledge, and strategies needed to effectively market and sell products & solutions.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor and manage key performance metrics, including product profitability, sales performance, and customer retention, making data-driven adjustments to maximize impact.

  • Address technical debt, prioritize architectural improvements, and deliver a roadmap that supports long-term scalability.

Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.

  • Scale the organization by recruiting top talent, empowering teams, and driving cross-functional alignment.

The Ideal Candidate Characteristics & Credentials

  • 12+ years of product management or related experience, with 6+ years in leadership roles.

  • Proven experience building products from zero to one, scaling organizations, and achieving impactful business results.

  • Expertise in AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, and their application in solving complex business problems.

  • Experience with RPA tools and process automation technologies is a plus. 

Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), APIs, and data governance standards.

  • Familiarity with SaaS business models, subscription pricing, and customer lifecycle management.

  • Experience designing scalable, customer-focused solutions for document-intensive industries.

Leadership & Strategic Acumen

  • Visionary leadership with the ability to anticipate market trends and translate them into actionable strategies.

  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.

  • A proven ability to inspire teams, foster innovation, and drive organizational growth in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Education

  • Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
