Respawn is looking for a Senior / Lead Product Manager focused on acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization for Apex Legends. This candidate must be able to work in a highly cross-functional environment partnering with multiple disciplines to optimize and inform our future roadmap while also executing where needed to keep our players engaged. You will play a critical role in shaping the roadmap for Apex Legends both in terms of future feature set development as well as optimization of current tool sets for live operations.

This role will focus primarily on Player Investment (with the goal of driving engagement and retention) with some responsibilities on different live service monetization aspects of the game.

Responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Champion the Player while Balancing the Business - Be the voice of the player, but balance that with the business goals to drive wins on both sides

  • Feature Set Development and Roadmapping - For your disciplines, help shape the features we need to keep our game healthy and players happy

    • Leverage both qualitative insights and quantitative performance data to define player problems and player needs

    • Establish the requirements and define the priorities for problems we should be tackling

    • Partner closely with Design and Production to refine solutions and bring ideas to life

  • Grow the Business - Help define and integrate new operational frameworks and features that will ultimately grow our capabilities to read and react to player demands

  • Process and Operations - Identify efficiencies and build new processes where needed to create better workflows across the team

  • Prioritize - Work collaboratively with Product Management counterparts and cross-functional counterparts to prioritize feature development

  • Mentor Budding Talent - Mentor Product Managers on the team. Teach them how to flawlessly execute with the tools and operations in place while growing their capabilities to take on owning features of their own

  • Opportunity Analysis and Planning - Drive research and analysis that will help shape the version of key features

  • Performance Tracking - Partner with the analytics team to post mortem all key launches (seasons, features, promotions) to derive insights that will drive the evolution of our game

  • Competitive Insights - Stay on top of the competition by supporting the team with competitive insights on new launches, strategies, and tactics deployed that will help inform and shape our roadmap

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product management or similar experience, preferably from gaming (console, PC, or mobile); entertainment; technology; or consumer products

  • Proven track record of working in highly cross-functional environments across production, design, marketing, and analytics teams. We succeed and fail as a team and there’s no room for egos

  • Experienced in partnering with Studio Design teams in feature development in a true collaborative environment

  • Self-starter and motivated to work in a fast-paced and ever evolving environment who can balance their time on their own to deliver results

  • Passionate about games, the psychology behind it, and driven to do right by the players while maintaining a focus on the business

  • Strong communication skills - both verbally and written

  • Experience with data analysis, game systems design, and games as a service

  • Understanding of balancing the quantitative (data informed) and qualitative (player voice)

  • MBA preferred
