We’re a dynamic, independent studio of over 1200 passionate employees, with studios in Toronto (Behaviour Toronto), Seattle (Midwinter Entertainment), Rotterdam (Behaviour Rotterdam) and in the UK (Behaviour UK–North & South). Our day to day revolves around two core business focuses: Services and Original Games. Our Services team collaborates with gaming and entertainment giants like Disney, Sony, Activision, and Nintendo, delivering exceptional work-for-hire development and pioneering immersive location-based entertainment (LBE). Meanwhile, our Original Games unit pushes our creative limits, with our signature IPs, including the iconic Dead by Daylight. Join us and be a part of the future of interactive entertainment!

We're currently seeking a Senior/Principal Programmer to join our dynamic team.

As a Senior/Principal Programmer, you will design, implement, and enhance the game experience for our users. You will play a pivotal role in our development team, overseeing the porting of mobile games to PC, optimizing performance, and adapting games across multiple platforms.

In this role, you will:

    • Optimize Performance: Enhance memory usage and performance for systems that scale from high-end to mobile devices.
    • Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve common issues such as load times, memory usage, and performance bottlenecks.
    • Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work closely with teams including programmers, designers, animators, and artists to deliver high-quality game experiences.
    • Code Optimization: Improve game code efficiency, considering live and online game environments.
    • Code Review: Actively participate in the code review process, ensuring high standards and best practices.
    • Mentorship: Support and mentor team members to elevate their skills and contributions.

What we're looking for:

    • 5+ years of programming experience in the game industry.
    • Strong skills in Unreal Engine and C++ programming.
    • Broad experience in deep optimization and profiling on modern systems
    • Solid understanding of game engine mechanics and editor concepts.
    • Experience in developing within large codebases at a fast pace, maintaining a balance between usability, performance, reliability, and power.
    • Experience coaching and mentoring others.
    • Ability to work effectively with teams across Asia Pacific time zones.
