Overview

Synaptics is looking for a Sr. Wireless Modem Systems Engineer to join our dynamic and growing organization. You will be responsible for WLAN PHY baseband algorithm development, system integration, working with RF/CHIP/SW team in validating and optimizing overall WLAN performance. This position reports to the Sr. Director, WLAN System Algorithms and Architecture.

Responsibilities & Competencies

Job Duties

• Responsible for WLAN PHY baseband algorithm development, system integration, working with RF/CHIP/SW team in validating and optimizing overall WLAN performance
• Work closely with design team to optimize chip performance and facilitate knowledge transfer
• Develop modeling and simulations to test chip performance
• Drive WLAN PHY & RF performance tuning, chip bring-up, new feature development, and enhancements
• Perform system test, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of wireless products
• Work closely with internal teams (RF, Software, Algorithm, Chip, AE/FAE, marketing) for productizing WLAN&BT Combo chip for Home IOT and Automotive markets
